İsmail ERBAY is a Partner Attorney at BOSCA Law Office. He was admitted to the Ankara Bar Association in 1997 and is also a member of the Düsseldorf Bar Association. Between 1991 and 2002, he worked as a Research Assistant at Ankara University Faculty of Law. From 2010 to 2014, he received training in Management, Guardianship, and Trusteeship Administration at Steinbeis University Berlin (Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin).

He is a European Patent Attorney registered with the European Patent Office (Munich, Germany) and a Turkish Patent Attorney. Erbay holds a Consumer Insolvency Specialist Certificate from the Saarland Chamber of Industry and Commerce (Germany) and has also obtained a Specialization Certificate in Guardianship and Trusteeship in Germany.

He completed his master’s thesis on “The Seller’s Liability for Defects in Sale Contracts” and his doctoral dissertation on “Know-How Agreements.” His article titled “An Evaluation of the Abolition of Custody Rights under Article 348 of the Turkish Civil Code within the Scope of the European Convention on Human Rights” was published in the İnönü University Faculty of Law Journal, and his article titled “Unterlassungsanspruch des Betriebsrats in Sozialenangelegenheiten” was published in the Ankara University Faculty of Law Journal.

Erbay also serves as a Child Advocate and Guardian for Child Contact Rights before German Family Courts.

He has extensive experience particularly in sale contracts, contracts for works, intellectual property law, civil law, law of obligations, commercial and corporate law, and labor law.
